Update: On My Meeting with the Vice Provost

Yesterday I had the meeting with John Beacon about using my photos. We talked for a while and discussed different photos to use and decided at a top three. The photos are being sent to the printer and they will decide the final photo. The one chosen will be used in a publication that goes out to every parent of a student 21 and under, he said that’s about 18,000 mailings. He also talked about using more of my photos in other school publications. Below are the three we sent in rank order.

Dreams

So this morning I was dreaming about being back at Borders and working at the registers. They had changed the layout of things and there were new registers, they were for some reason Apple computers too. You also had to sign into the computers funny and I was having trouble doing that so I moved to a different reg and this one wasn’t working because I cord fell out and the screen had frozen all at the same time. Mean while I was being yelled at by one of the managers, and I remember thinking that there weren’t any customers and that if there were there were others to help out. Then I woke up.

Recently I have been finishing my sleep with these really vivid dreams. Most of the time I don’t even remember my dreams, but at least the past 3 mornings right before I wake up I have had one.

The Vice Provost Wants to Meet With Me

So a yeah… on Monday I have a meeting with John E. Beacon, Vice Provost for Enrollment Management. I mean its no big deal I just got called to set up some time to talk.

Except he does want to talk to me about using photos I have taken around campus. Somehow my friend Coty (she works in the admissions building) showed him some of the pictures I have of campus on my flickr page. He liked what he saw and wants to meet with me. I set up with his secretary to meet with him on Monday afternoon.

Back to School

Back to the hustle and bustle of school, today was my first day of classes and they look like they’ll be good. I started my day with Modern Physics, which I have the same Prof I had for my first physics class I had here, she even remembered who I was. It was a great start to my day because I really liked her class when I had her a year ago.

Next I had Math (Differential Equations). This Prof should be a lot better than my last and I have class with my friend Simone and my old suitemate Kevin. I also went into the lab were Brad and I soldered a broken fuse connector into the drop tester which we had installed last semester. Now it works!!! We played around with it and showed it off to Dr. Naghshineh.

My last class was ME 220. Doesn’t look like it will be as much work as 250, no homework just a bunch of lab reports and reading the chapters should help. Still have our staff meeting tonight at 9:15, then I’ll be done for the day and tomorrow I will sleep in because I don’t have class until 1:00 pm, because no labs meet this week.

WMU B-Ball

I’m really worried about Westerns basketball team, they haven’t done well in the pre conference play and they just lost to Ohio (87-55). After tonight they are 3-8 and 0-1 MAC. The last three seasons they have done so well, I hope they turn their playing around. Maybe so home games will help them out.
