Dear Tiger Fans

We may not have won the World Series, however we did do more than anyone ever expected at the beginning of the year.

To help get through I have a suggestion, repeat to yourself “American League Champions, American League Champions, American League Champions…”. You feel better now don’t you.

The Nation – Student Photo of the Week

One of my photos was selected as the photo of the week for The Nation’s student website. It will be up for about a week (here) and hopefully they will set up an archive soon. The original photo can be found on my flickr page here.

Great Day to be a Bronco

For the day I have already run the Campus Classic (5K in 23:17 that’s a 1:35 less then the Race for the Cure and on a course with more hills), then the football game is at 2:00 and the tigers game after that. It’s a great day to be a Bronco!!!

NPR

It has been since the summer that I have tuned into NPR. I love it but would only listen to it when I was driving around. Recently however I have started to tune in trough the radio streams they offer online. Now I switch between WDET and WMUK. I love them both and have become a staple of my night time studying.

Things

A couple things…some bigger then others. To start school is going really well. My first couple of exams have gone well and one better then expected. Still a lot of the semester to go so we will see how everything plays out.

All my extracurricular are going really well. Caroline and I for RHA are working on publishing a Zine that will go out to a lot of campus. Another thing, I’ve been taking photos for the Western Herald, school newspaper. As of this weekend, I have had eight photos printed and probably another in this Monday. Being a photographer has been truly great. Maybe a week ago I had a photo of a packed bus coming back form the engineering college and then this Friday on the bus people where talking about it as the “bus picture”, so strange to me.

The biggest thing that has happened is that I have applied to go on Birthright. So if everything works out in December I will be in Israel for ten days with my sister and some other friends. Right now I’m working on getting my passport papers together then I think I’ll have an interview before everything is finalized for the trip.

Lastly I love watching the Tigers in the playoffs.
