O no I think I’m going to hurl
I have learned my lesson. After a week of no bread and no corn syrup, to keep kosher for Passover, I had real coke: one yesterday night and one during the day today. My body basically went into shock each time. It couldn’t handle the caffeine or corn syrup. I felt uneasy and particularly unwell. Eventually the high wore off and I was back to “normal”.
Happy Pesach
Though I can’t be home for Pesach this year, because of classes, I still will enjoy it. It will not be quite as much fun as singing our silly songs and eating delicious home cooked seders, I’ll just have to think about them fondly. For the second night I will get to have a seder with the Hillel on campus, so that should be nice. Because what we eating is so fundamental I also get to field the “so what do you eat then?” questions. Pesach is a fun time for me because I practice a bit more self control then usual (its like a test) and the hardest part about it is to remember to nosh on the kosher for Pesach brownies my mom sent me a little at a time.
