Me…Dad

I was thinking, that if I grow up to be the “photographer” in my family then I’ll always be the one behind the camera. It was a running joke that my dad was never in any of our pictures because he was always the one taking them.

Now a days everyone has a camera, but I think the best way to ensure that I’m not left out is to marry someone who is into photography like me. Then we can share the family photo taking responsibilities.

To my dad’s credit, he has done a wonderful job capturing the family and our childhood moments. He inspires me to do the same.

Not only that but from time to time I get comments from friends that find a gray stand of hair on my head. They must be close friends because well, they notice. But every time I hear that there is another bit of gray I think of my dad.

From pictures I know his gray started with bits here and there and then spread from the middle of his forehead out and back. Now he has a full head entirely covered in silver waves. It is beautiful and I hope to someday share his hair style not just for looks but for also in fondness of my dad.
